Pretty sure he could pick up some work around there, might not be fixing ceilings but. Pretty sure construction is pretty big there still, so im sure he would get a start with someone.

Hi Kathy. My brother sold his Dampier house in April last year to a young fellow that was doing spec building in Karratha. At that time tradespeople were in short supply. Maybe you could try asking the building material supply people as they would have direct contact with the trade people. Regards,Bob.

Gday Kathy

Although there is all the talk of the global downturn, here in Karratha there are big plans for Woodside and the recent agreement with Rio and BHP can only bring more stability.

Accommodation in Karratha is one of the biggest issues, so if you have a place for the caravan you guys will be set. Housing seems to be going up as quick as the land is released and there is always activity. Whether there is specific work as a ceiling fixer, I'm not sure but there are always other jobs on the boards.

Good luck to you guys. You are right about the cold in Perth, our minimum temperature of 19 deg yesterday was Perths Max.

Cheers

Ray
