I had Toyo opat's a couple of years ago. Sold them at 17k km and got some muddies as well. In recent years Ive also run Bridgie 693, 694 LT's amongst other tyres. Nothing showed the wear that the Toyo's did in the short time I had them. Cheers

I had a set of Toyo Opats (A/T).

Good road tyre, good on sand and dirt, useless in mud.

Here's a photo of my Opat's in the mud - they were fairly 'slick' at that point - I was fairly stuck and wasn't going any where.

cheers

Good shot Kym.

It actaually shows a lot more tread than mine used to in mud. Mine turned into slicks, and I mean Nil grip in the mud.

At the slightest hint of rain I was doing a Max Merrit ,"Slip Sliding Away", or "Ooooooh You're Slipping Away From Me".

Cheers,

Jim.

No doubt about it Jim, if youre not too remote (from help n stuff) the mud can be a lot of fun. maybe have to re-visit the OPAT's LOL. cheers

I have a set on my hilux, I wouldn't buy them again.
Steering is vague, front are getting chopped out like I have bad wheel alignment(694`s i had previous didn't have this prob) VERY average all round.

I will be going back to 694`s when they wear out which cant be soon enough.

for an AT to chip like they did you would think they were made by coopers.
first trip i ripped the sidewall right out of one and then got punctures every trip after so i pulled em off and ran rags far a while. I put them on to do a beach trip but got another 2 flats so i retired them for good

- very useless
