Has anyone mounted a laptop to the roof of the 4wd? If so do you have any photos or instructions? I want to mount it upside down like the sunvisiour to run Oziexplorer. blue tooth GPS so no cords.

Hi Rox,
I looked into it when I first got my laptop, and I think from memory that it is not advisable to hang them upside down. Not 100% sure tho.

Hi Rox
Aslong as the puter is an EEEPc or similar you should not have any probs. I will be doing the same with my EEEPc shortly. Not sure how or where I will hang it.
Cheers jack

Yes it's an eeepc 1000H. I've been thinking about a roof console (bolts between light & mirror) then some type of bracket with padding. that's all I've got for now.

I picked up a pertfect little device a few weeks back...... They have only just come onto the market. They are made by Rams Mounts and although the large laptop trays have been around for a while. The small ones to suit the netbook are relitively new.
I have not fitted mine as yet as I do not have the truck to install it in. New one arrives at end of September So I have been buying all the accessories to kit it out as soon as I take delivery.
I am going to use it with an overhead console and will probably give the mount and netbook to the guys who make the overhead console so as they can come up with the mounting solution.
In the meantime I would be interested to know how you go with yours.
