modified sine wave inverter with decoder

I am planing to run my satellite decoder with a modified sine wave inverter.

Has anyone had any problems running a decoder with this type of inverter?

As most decent ones like Strong come with a 240 -12 and a car connector why do you need an invetrer

Been running my Humax on a modified sine wave for years with no problems at all.
