Does onyone know offhand what the colour of the wires coming out from behind the ignition on an 80 series corresponds to? I am trying to fit an immobiliser and need to connect it to the starter circuit and the ignition circuit - the problem is the colour of the wires doesnt seem to match what is indicated in the Gregory's manual..... I have been mucking around with it all day and havent really got anywhere....

Any info would be hugely appreciated!!

Thanks

use a test light the starter wire only has power on crank should be Black with White trace & the ignition has power to it when engine is running should be Blue with Black trace. This info from Ellery Manual for petrol 80 series

Thanks HEAPS!! I saw on the internet about 10 mins ago that the starter was Black with White. I will have a look tomorrow for a Blue with Black. The Black with White was in the Gregory's manual, (but hard to understand - for me..)but not the Bule with Black (or any other colour for that matter.....).
