Who has been to the Show? Did you discover something new and exciting? I'm heading back there tomorrow to check out some of the items I missed on my first visit last week and am keen to hear others' opinions.

Not new or exciting, but Anaconda had Aluminum fridge stands suitable Engel, Waco etc for under $30.00. Good value.

I think all the caravan manufacturers had a lot more family vans on display this year, might be the way the market is heading in the future.

I agree - I'm a fifth wheel fanatic (small and Aussie made) and find the caravans all the same these days.

I am glad we went but there really was not much we were looking for there.

We saw one van that fitted our needs :-) and spoke to several salespeople who did not have any idea about what they were selling :-(

I have not gone through the brochures I collected rather than waiting to speak to a sales person.

We went of friday and could not believe how crowded it was, we also went with friends who wandered gawked and pottered about rather than our usual look and move on style !

I'm just back from the show. I went on the first and the last day and both were pleasant and not too crowded, particularly today. So that's my tip for next year - avoid the weekend!

I was very disappointed - I'm not a novice camper but thought there would be more knick nack exciting little camping bits that I just needed to buy. I thou ght almost all the caravans had been decorated by the same designer - and was surprised that most displays of caravans were very much the same, particularly trying for above middle road market.
The best part for me was the regional groups displays and came home with lots of beautifully presented brochures, packed full of heaps of good information - read them all weekend.
I didn't go to the Show with a cynical eye - I went as a looker and buyer (usually working) when it opened on the Wednesday but we were disappointed.

I agree about all the caravans looking the same - and the motorhomes too. I totally missed the regional groups displays, so that's something to look out for next year. Thanks for your input.

We went and bought a Supreme X-Tender pop top changed to a standard caravan more than happy. First time for us looked all day Saturday went back Sunday and decided what we wanted, some of the sales people for different caravan companies were really helpful and others were not much help.
