A question to all Rodeo owners! The first time i fueled the ute up from dead empty on the guage, after recently purchasing it the total litres that was pumped was 82?
This amount seemed quite large for standard equiptment, so of to check owners manual, total usable litres 75? Proceded to inspect and measure fuel
tank to find original holden product and a full litre volume of 100 litres. With this the question is asked, are owner upgrading to after market Lr tanks for the increase of 14 litres minimun and has anyone else come across standard issue 100 litre tanks
Thanks in advance to all
MIK

Early models (pre the V6 of 97) had 53 litre tanks.
With the V6 came more power and a much thirstier engine, hence the fuel tanks were made larger, initially up to the 75 litres quoted in your manual.
Haven't heard of a 100 litre
tank, maybe it was a factory option.

Hi Mik we run rodeo work utes with the v6 and auto trans and work them fairly hard, the previous models we had (2000 etc) were equipped with the standard 65 L
tank and gave a range of 400 - 450 ks when loaded up. The new ute I just took delivery of is the latest model with the new body, 3.5l v6 auto with a standard
tank of 75 L and I am going to request holden fit a long range
tank under warranty for nix because the best I can get out of it is 350 - 400 km when empty !!!!! 16 - 20+ litres per 100 ks. The ute has already been back to have holden assess it for a few problems - leaking doors, i washed it for the first time and opened the doors to find the floor full of
water !! - an ignition miss, suspect faulty plug pack - severe shudder from the lsd centre - spongy brakes ETC ETC I dont know how others have found tyhe new model but I think that moving the build from Japan to Thailand has ended up building an absolute dog. Pity Holden didnt spend the same time testing the new model as they spent on wanky ads for it. Just go up to one and press on the body panels, they are paper thin!! Hope you have got the previous model because it was a gem.... Brad

At least the 2.6 litre only uses between 12.5 - 14.5 l/100km around town.
And since I have the Out of Town 118 litre
tank......................

I had a 1992 model space cab 2.6 with the auto (2wd), used to get 12.5lt-12.7lt per 100klm on the open road weather it had a load on it or not, the space cab came with a 75 litre
tank from the factory so had a very good range. still miss that Ute!
Have also looked at the new model, not sure if I would purchase the latest model, will look at a few when they ae getting 60-100thousand Klm on them & see how they are going.
