I have a Garmin 760 that I use in my troopy with no problems.
However, the etrex I got with it is a different matter.
I am in
hobart at the moment with a bit of time on my hands and thought now is a good time to teach myself how to use it. (when I get
home the kids will be impressed).
Well, 45 minutes later and many tsk tsk's, I am none the wiser.
I follow the guide and seem to run around in circles.
Is there anyone down here that can give me a bit of a demo on how to use it.
At this stage I only want to be able to go bush, mark a spot and turn around and get back to the troopy.

Hi Boo Boo, on one of your previous posts you said you were at
Sandy Bay Beach.
I'm not far from there, and am reasonably familiar with the e-trex.
Send me an email drleesatgmaildotcom if you want me to run you through some of its features.
cheers

Its not often you get service people drop in to do a job free of charge, but thats exactly what Austastar did on Friday evening after work and showed me how to use the eTrex.
Easy, really, once you are shown how to use it by someone who knows how to work it.
Dave many thanks indeed.
