Has anyone purchased one of these Kogan EZINAV G3 GPS with Bluetooth?
The company assure me that it can be used with Hema maps and Oziexplorer.
The price appears to be very reasonable but I do not want waste money that may better be used in taking more 'sundowner' supplies!
Look forward to hearing your comments.
Cheers

Assuming you laptop has bluetooth?
I ran a test on my laptop, with a bluetooth mobile phone the other day using the phone's GPS. Worked well. Not so many cables running allover the place.
Would need the phone in its cradle to avoid flogging the battery though.
cheers

You will find many similar GPS units on ebay. They generally use WinCE version 5 and certainly can run Oziexplorer fine. This Kogan one comes with a 1GB card. Most now have a 2BG card. I see that some ebay ones now have a 5" screena nd they can take up to 8GB cards.

I have a 4.3" one I got last year and use it with Oziexplorer and a range of digital maps including Hema and smaller scale Vic maps.

You'll only use the Bluetooth if you want to use it as a hands free connection to your mobile when driving.

Cheers

Battery life is poor off power. Very good Sat reception though. Routing fast, good voice instruction and graphics. Windscreen bracket is cheap and nasty, replaced mine with better. Good value unit with all features galore. Not thought about using Ozi with it so can't help you there, use the PDA for that.

I have bought one of the first Gps some years ago from Kogan. Lost the SD card once and it was replaced right away. Cheap, yet good product and service, Have bought a number of items from Kogan. Never had any problems.

Had a bit of "fun" getting OziExplorer CE going but thanks to John and another Duncan all is fine. Once I had the advice it only took a short time.
