FYI - I returned from
Brisbane yesterday and saw a sign on the Burdekin
Bridge (between
Ayr and
Home Hill) that it would be closed nearly all day on Sunday 21st.
If you are traveling on that day I would make alternative arrangements like leave a day earlier or later.

Thanks for that.
My mate is the minister in
Ayr /
Home Hill and does the Sunday morning
services in both towns, and drives across the
bridge.
Good chance to to see if his prayer time is up to date for walking on water :o)
He is always good for a stir.

No water there at this time of year. He could walk 1 side to the other and not get his feet wet. HA ha

Wrong!! Still plenty of water flowing down the Burdekin following our record rainfalls this year.

Really? I lived in TSV for 3 years, working in
Ayr and never saw any water in it.
Must have been a long dry season. Same with north at Black river.
Ahh I miss the north.

Not sure if Black River is still running. Still had a trickle last time I went north.

Not quite correct.
It's closed 21st June 9PM to 22nd June 4AM.
So work is during the night.
You can see the sign on the webcam
here.
Cheers

Thanks for the correction
Ross.
I was driving as we went past the sign and did not see (or it just didn't register) the AM/PM bit.

Those signs never seem to stay on long enough and that
bridge is hard enough to negotiate any way.
They have had a number of closures over the last few months always on sunday nights from 9pm to 4am monday.
Cheers
