I am trying to transfer two sets of POIs onto the SD card from my Kenwood
DNX7034BTNAV Head unit. It uses the Garmin navigation engine.
One set of POIs comes from my Nuvi 660. They are POIs that I have loaded when actually at that location.
The other POIs are the Camps4 POIs which are in a combination of .csv and .bmp files. I have successfully loaded these onto my Nuvi in the past using POI Loader.
I can get these onto the SD card using POI Loader but when I go to Mapsource to load my Custom POIs it overwrites the POIs that were loaded first.
POI Loader says I can transfer the Camps POIs into Mapsource but when the process is complete I can't find them, or they are not recognised as a format that Mapsource can use.
Frustrating, to say the least.
Basically I want to put 2 different sets of POIs onto an SD card without overwriting (and thus removing) any existing POIs. I can do each process separately but then the first lot is removed.
Can anyone shed some light?
If the answer is lengthy please MM me for my email address.
cheers

The POI will only overwrite if it has the name file name.
I use another technique by using a program called Gsak,

what I do is open 2 Mapsorce windows simultaneously and then copy the waypionts from one and paste it into the other, then save the new file with whatever name l want it to be. Quite simple really.

Thanks everyone for your replies, including by MM.
The solution, as indicated above and from Dave B by MM, was to rename one file something other than poi.gpi because the second lot of POIs looks for a file called poi.gpi and overwrites it.
So I renamed my Camps files "Camps4.gpi" and they appear on the Kenwood under Extras and left my personally created ones as poi.gpi because that is where more personally created ones will look to live when I do some more and they appear under Favourites.
Thanks to you all.
