Birdsville Track Feedback

Dale, those roads are really wide, 2 lane earth formed roads. Speeds of 60-80kph would be typical for the 730km William Creek - Marree - Birdsville depending on the corrugations and any stoney sections.

Hi Dale, we were there a few months ago and the roads were good. Allow a day to get down the Birdsville track and half a day for Marree to William Creek. We even took our ON road caravan up the Oodnadatta track. Ken

Lake Eyre access is from the Oodnadatta Track, at William Creek, not the Birdsville track.
