That's good news - I wonder if/when they'll abolish stamp duty on cars?

Would of been handy last Friday when we rego'd the camper.
A purchase price of $10000.00
Weight 1240kg

Registration Fee, $52.00
Motor Vehicle Tax $223.00
SS Tell Trail-issue $36.00
Stamp Duty $300.00

Total $611.00

That's on top of
Weigh Fee $22.00
Blue Slip Fee $60.00

Total of $699.00

Just to rego a camper from QLD to NSW
It had QLD rego till April next year. If we were to of waited, we would get hit with a late fee.
The mind boggles.

My work trailer 6x4 enclosed, is $56.00 or something like that. Un braked, but must carry at lest750kg when loaded up
The Horse Float is I think, about $136.00 Electric brakes.
Our other camper tent trailer 7x4 was $52.00 because it doesn't have brakes.
Buggered if I know :P

By the way the line that read SS Tell Trail-issue $36.00
Should of read S Yell Trail-issue $36.00
Is that a fee for the number plate?
miserable so & so's, Givem $700 and they can't throw in a Number Plate.
It's no thicker than foil, You could wrap last nights corn meat up in it.

Jon, I think if it is over 750KG, that's when you have got to dig real deep.

AFIK any 2 wheel trailer or van in SA is about $60 per year. About $30 odd if you are a pensioner.

In May I registered our new 28'Spaceland Caravan on the Gold Coast and paid $147.00 rego and was told no stamp duty was payable so all up $147.

Cheers and safe travels.
