Has anyone , Gone over the recommended front wheel bearing replacement time (180,000ks) with their 100series?, Just wondering if this is just a safe guard thing with toyota. They feel ok at the moment, have been packed with grease at the right intervals, after other vehicles i would have thought in excess of 200,00kms would be more like it.?
Cheers Axle.

mine any time soon.

Axle,
That is a very difficult question to answer as in my opinion, it depends upon how the vehicle has been used.
I've just replaced the rears in
mine as I had a leaky rear axle seal. When I pulled them out to inspect (100k km) they were pitted and the oil had 'washed' the grease out. So really depends.....lots of river crossings and mud....worth replacing or at least inspecting.
I would rather pull them out in the driveway at
home than in some remote area somewhere.
Cheers,
Mark
