G'day meggsie, We use doubled shadecloth as a groundsheet with good results. There are other pricey options available. Make it a metre bigger all around your camper , gives room to sit stuff on & stops sand etc sticking to bottom of gear. Get a silver tarp for the top, once again with plenty of overhang. Stops wet packups, prevents staining & is cooler. Oco straps are good to hold it down. Fold both sides to the centre & pull over rig like a rope,
then unfold to each side, quick & simple & forget all that drama about leaks &
sealing. Happy travelling....oldbaz.

Any good canvas
shop or sailmaker should be able to stitch the shadecloth for you and put some strengthening eyelets in the corners and along the edges.

Meggsy,
The shadecloth is the go.
I buy it off the roll from bunnings. It is folded on the roll in the
shop i.e twice the width.
I use a single layer and I don't worry about eyelets. a handfull of roofing nails will usually hold it in place
The edge of the mat usually stays as it comes off the roll however the ends tend to get a bit ratty after a while so by having a metre or so spare at each end allows you to trim the dags off over time.
I have one piece for the whole camper trailer annex and one for the camper trailer room to sit on when it is folded out.

Hi Meggsy,
Like a couple of replies above we use shade cloth. Works
well for our situations.
Cgear have a great product, but a lot dearer.
Cheers
Stephen
