Hi All, update on beach conditions to
Rainbow Beach.
Access to Teewah Beach from Noosa is in good condition, plenty of sand all the way up to double island.
The Leisha track access is also good at present, there is a drop off on the
rainbow beach side, a couple of feet but easy enough.
There is heaps of sand to the right towards
double island point, a large lagoon has formed and there is heaps of sand out behind
the lagoon.
Rainbow Beach just to the left of Leisha track is still blocked by trees for about 500 meters, I wouldn't attempt even at low tide, a few did today but needed the windows up to keep the waves out!!
Freshwater track is in good condition and OK IMO for trailers.
Cooloola Way has plenty of water on it but if firm pretty much all the way,
Harry's Hut track is also firm with water in
places but the
camping area is soaked.
Still cant work out the photo loading thing, there are a couple of double island in my profile for those interested.
Cheers Scott

Scott,
Do you have any information about
the beach on Fraser Isl around the rocks (Ngkala rocks I think?) going upto
Sandy Cape?
I read here few months back that
the beach is impassible and
Sandy Cape cut-off.
Thanks, Peter

The Ngkala rocks bypass has been closed due to the track being eroded and impossible to use.
So you can't drive to
Sandy Cape at the moment or for the forseeable future.
Do a search on any number of forums (exploroz, overlander, 4wdmonthly) for more info, or
check epa sitw for road conditions for Fraser.

Thanks chisel and Lex M - hoping that the currents and tides bring a lot of sand up the coast between now and mid October!

Heading up early Friday for a few days fishing, we were going this weekend just past, but due to the weather forcast delayed it a week. Although we could have gone as most of the rain fell further south.

Hi
John,
Plenty of rain here today, looks like more tomorrow then
clearing Wednesday. There were plenty of good looking gutters, good luck!
