About 3-4 years ago on the way home from the Flinders Ranges we found a roadside shop that sold things like oysters, pickled eggs and mettwurst but we can't remember exactly where it was.

It was on the eastern side of the Highway north of Pt Germein and south of Stirling North. I think it was painted royal blue.

Does anyone know this place ? Is it still opened, is so where is it ?

Thanks Cuffs, but can you narrow the position down a bit ? I am not after GPS co-ords but even something like approx 1 hour north of Pt Germein would be excellent.

Thanks Mrs S

It is South of Pt Germein, about 2km north of the Tinman (ie Ampol garage) turn-off to Port Pirie.

Mrs S, don't worry about you being a bit off. If you had followed Chris' advice using the Ampol garage as a datum, you'd be up that well known creek without a paddle.
How long has it been since you have had Ampol in SA regional?
The Tinman at Port Pirie has been Mobil ever since Adam played fullback iwearing sandals and a loin cloth.

Having just pulled a jar of Wild Peach jam from my pantry, the shop is "HARRY'S", address Lot 56, Highway 1, Nelshaby SA. Ph/fax (08) 8634 4042.

HARRY'S is about halfway between the Port Pirie northern entrance/exit and Waroona Island turnoff.

Thanks Dion.
Haven't lived in SA for 20+ years so I haven't noticed the lack of Ampol servies.

Used the GPS cords listed below and found 'Harry's', that sure is the place. Now I just have to hide the credit card when we get there on the weekend.

Thanks to all who offered help

Spot on, right on the corner as you turn towards the Ranges.
