Hilux timing belt

What milage does the timing belt need to be changed on the current model Hilux with the 5L 3 litre diesel motor Please.

Have a look in your owners manual it should have a light that comes on at 150000kms the early ones were 100000kms.

If you are going to get your injectors cleaned and pump timed every 100,000 anyway it aint much more hassle to do the belt at the same time no matter what the manual says. You wont have any drama's that way.

Don't just rely on the mileage! If you look at the factory manual they usually specify a maximum time - like three years. If you aren't clocking up the K's real quick the belt can break before the 100,000 K's or whatever.
