This is not a recomendation, but I insured my C/t with NRMA after AAMI put the premium up nearly 40%. Nrma offered a policy that does not depreciate the value of the sum insured, that is van insured for $25k now is insured for
$25k in 5 years time. Of course, they can increase the premiums & probably
will, insurance is a bloody pain....oldbaz.

Personally, I use NRMA but would also consider AAMI (wouldn't consider most of the others). Just read the fine print because a lot of the cheaper ones won't cover you for some things (or won't pay claims) - they're usually cheaper for a reason. eg. many insurers won't cover 4WD's for incidents that occur off gazetted roads (probably not an issue for a lot of people but I want to be covered in these situations).
I've never had any first-hand experience (thankfully) with QBE but I've yet to hear something good about them.

Hi Bill,Been with CIL for 4 years and made a claim for a new awning as mine unrolled whilst traveling. No probs at all.just make sure you get a quote from a reputable dealer if a problem occurs.
Regards Paul.

MHIA www.mhia.com.au offer new for old. If you download the policy is straight forward what you will receive with zero goobledegook. Have excellent reputation. Personally never had a claim but know some that have and excellent service promptly settled.

Thank you to have responded. I have from another source found a company that will insure the car and van together which has saved me about $300 on the combined price.
