Thargominda to Birdsville

Hi, Below is hopefully a image of our upcoming trip. I would appreciate any comments or altenatives to the route we propose to take. We will be well set up and towing Ultimate camper with Patrol and will most likely be travelling solo

Cheers Jim

Hi Jim
You picked a good route from Thargomindah to Cameron Crn, very interesting country through there.
The only suggestion I have, is that instead of going south from Old Tickalara to Cameron Corner, you could keep heading west, down past Omicron.

Cheers Chris, Does that mean you don't think Sturt national Park is worth the detour?

No not at all Jim, but have found that way to be just as interesting and less traveled, which suits us. We have traveled that route our last two trips camping somewhere before Cameron Corner.

Morning Jim

The section through Sturt NP will give you a nice contrast to the country you will see.
We always bypass the NP as a place to stay, too many rules. Camp in the dunes NE of CC.
Note. When I was through there in May, there was no fuel at CC.
At Coongie, follow the track as far as you can go. Some very nice camping spots.

Regards & have a safe trip.
