The new patrol will have a new shape, which we have all seen before, and two diesel engines.......an upgrade of the current 3 litre!!???? and a 3 litre V6, both Renault engines, early 2010 release according to the winter edition of 4WDriver magazine.....even rumours of a 5.6 litre, 32 vavle petrol V8 maybe but don't hold your breath.

BUT...why not sell this one here in Australia.......Site Link

I bit the greenies would love this.....lol

JEEZ!, ... not that impressive in the motor department as far as the V8 is concerned, lots of revs to get a lot of Hp, lots of revs to only get moderate torque. The Toyota V8s in the Five Litre range look a bit better in the torque range.

Cheers Axle.

I read a site today which said that release will be delayed now till 2011, and will include petrol thankfully.

Perhaps a better question might be , is their room for any new engine to kept current diesel alive till then.

On the other hand the 4800 has been advertized this weekend at $53000 driveaway in Victoria which is less than I paid for mine in 2002 , very tempting
