Hi all,
Thanks for the replies on my query the other day on accessing Lake Eyre by 2wd, it seems that it's possible but not recommended as there are some pretty rough spots to get through.
After checking the Lake Eyre sailing club link, thanks to Explore Oz, and a bit of advice from the replies it looks like the lake is drying up so I think I will give it a miss, hopefully I will still be around for the next fill. Seems like a redirection through

Coopers Creek etc.
