Does anyone know the current situation on getting deisel fuel at Parrngur Aboriginal Community.
We want to do a side trip in and around
Rudall River and come back to CSR on Talawana Track, wont be carrying enough fuel to go from Willuna to
Well 33 and do this trip, which I estimate to be 350 - 400 k return to CSR.
As we will be leaving WIlluna in approx one weeks time no time to arrange a fuel drop at
Well 23. Any info on this would be appreciated, thanks

thanks for the updated info, we just weren't sure how up to date ours was.
We are flying into
Perth tomorrow to start the CSR in about a week from Willuna. We were over 2 years ago and did the top end of the CSR Billiluna to
Well 33, unfortunately broke an ankle at
Well 39 which caused us to exit to
Port Hedland hospital. This is our revenge trip and we want to include
Rudall River at the same time.

will look forward to that. Our dates are of course approx. Depends on what maintenance the Troopie needs, having sat in
Perth since July 2007 after the ankle incident. Will be traveling with another couple from here, who are making their way across to meet us at
Wiluna.
cheers Neil & Trish.

We fueled up there in early May with no problems at all. We did give them a courtesy call to make sure they had fuel (diesel only), etc when leaving
Wiluna.
The lady from the store (who also did the fuel was very friendly and we had a good chin-wag). The only issue is the cost. $4.00 per litre, and must be payed in cash (no eftpos).

Hi,
due to high fuel costs at Cotton Creek, ordering a diesel drum from
Capricorn Roadhouse could be an option for CSR travellers.
Capricorn Roadhouse are operating the fuel drop at
well 23 again, they usually need six weeks notice in advance of your trip. Diesel is delivered in 200 litre drums only, cost per drum was 500,- bucks, so 2,50 per litre diesel, quite a difference, compared to 4,- per litre at Cotton Creek and 3,20 per litre at
Kunawarritji (as of May this year, when I fuelled up there twice).
Cheers from bloody boring Dortmund/Germany,
Juergen
