Hi, We are going to head to Innamincka shortly staying three possibly four nights, would it be better to buy a desert parks pass or get permits at the store. What do you suggest, is there any advantage to buying the pass.
Thanks a lot

Last time I checked if you camp on "the common" you don't need a pass.

If you are travelling into Coongie Lakes, or camping on other places on the Cooper you may need a pass.

Suggest you check with SA parks by giving them a ring.

if you are travelling out and around Innamincka, you will need a pass in some areas.. I bought one from the shop , its a short stay pass and it was really cheap, about $4.. from memory.. Michael

We were there in May and purchased pass and camp permit at Innaminka Store - went back again and extended camp permit 2 days later. Very easy!
