Couple of weeks ago, someone asked about the
Cape Melville track.
We have just returned from the area. Had a great time. Caught Barra from
the beach.
The 113km from
the beach to
Kalpowar Crossing took 4 hours 20 minutes on the way back. The last 40km took about 2 hours. There are no particularly hard areas, although we did have to pull a drowned Musso out of
Barramundi Creek and there are some tight spots through the trees (for us). There are tinnies and camper trailers getting in without drama.
Cheers,
Peter

Peter,
Thanks for the heads up. We'll be calling in on our way back late next month.

G'day Peter,
Cape Melville certainly is worth that little extra affort. We enjoyed our fortnight there a couple of years ago. I hope you had plenty of time there to chill out? Planning another trip
Cape York next year and hope to get there again as
well.
Kind regards
