A word of warning just filled up with a load of diesel at Woolworths Dickson ACT Fuel consumption increased by 3 litres per 100 klm towing, worst consumption figures that we have ever recorded, loss of power on the hills.
Filled up at Shell Boggabilla consumption back to normal and climber hills with easy.
We had been warned about Woolworths Diesel but only after this experience did we notice the difference.
Regards
Ted

I used to have a similar problem with WW unleaded in the old VL crumpledoor,
230 km out of a 60 litre tank around town, fill up anywhere else and it was back to 480 to 500 km for the same amount of fuel.
So much for that 4 cpl saving.
Its a pity you didnt drain a sample and find out, however it's possible you timed your refill just seconds after the tanker left and copped all the stirred up crap from the bottom of the tank..

Think it was just crap fuel as I always put in a dose of Fuel Set at each fill after the problem gave it a double dose, just refilled from doing the fill up at Bogabilla and got 15.42 lp100k big inprovement on 20.5 lp100k.

If you have ever seen the inside of a fuel tank that is 10 yrs old you will know that "crap' does not come through the bowser nozzle. It just may be poor quality fuel that they sold you. Clean yes but poor quality.

We filled up at woolies at dubbo, same deal with their diesel.
car ran rough, poor performance, bad milage, had to burn thru that lot, couldnt wait to refill with BP, contacted caltex and complained but never heard back from them when they said they would contact us etc.

Never again.

Bp diesel all the way now
