Heads up to all you good folk in SA, Vic and Tasmania.

That weather system that just battered us over here in WA is heading your way.

They usually pick up a bit of strength in the Bight so watch out.

It was a beauty.

I said to one of the guys at work that the way the weather was coming in reminded me of the opening credits of the old TV show Puffnstuff.

Here in Lobethal, about 3/4 an hour ago we had an almighty hail storm that lasted a couple of minutes. My poor car was out in it, along with our company ute. Good thing they're Hiluxes! The hail was bleep tering as it hit...

Now it's raining quite heavy and seems to have set in for a while. was windy as this morning when I left home, and a stiff northerly blowing. It was quite warm this morning when i left home at 7 - about 8°C.

It's been dead calm all morning in Hobart. Just starting to get a bit of a breeze now. Sky is a darkish brooding mess over Mt Wellington. The forecast is rain after about 4.00PM.
Should be home in time to let the dog and cat inside. :)

Just watching the news and you guys in Adelaide copped a hiding.

I think it may have been worse than we got. It must have really picked up in the Bight.

Up here in the Barossa we got a bit of wind and even some hail. And the power was out for several hours - I almost moved out to the caravan (which has a disel heater and 4 deep cycle batteries!). But the power was restored about 2.30pm.

This morning it was really warm - about 17 degrees outside. Within an hour it had dropped to its more usual 8 degrees.

They say there is more wild weather coming tonight!
