Hi
I have a Super Cheap $100 battery pack which I use for emergency jump starting cars, ride on mower, taking the Waeco from the car, and with an inverter for electric
tools in the back paddock.
Yeah, I know, it's Super Cheap, and I could have got a lot better, but it was a gift.
I seem to have misplaced/lost the 240 volt charger for it, and apparently new chargers are not available.
I still have the charger lead that fits into a cigarette lighter but it takes forever to recharge, and for some stupid reason, plugging it into the battery pack cigarette lighter point doesn't work. Go figure.
Anyway, I was thinking of cutting the 12 volt lead, and fitting an Anderson type plug so I could charge it with a 240 volt battery charger or swap it back to he ciggie lighter adaptor when necessary.
Does anyone know whether this is a possibility, or would the battery charger try and pour too many volts into it?
Cheers
Ian

Might depend on the charger but I use my ctek 7000 to charge a similar super-cheap battery. Seems to be fine.

If you cannot get the 240v lead from S/Cheap then just connect a three stage charger to the jump start outlets and this should do the job adequately.

I have converted all of my 12 volt cords to anderson plugs ie fridge, inverter etc. I have also fitted small lead with a cigarette lighter at one end and anderson plug at the other to use for the fridge if using the cigarette socket.
I just use this to charge off the back of the car's andeerson plug where I plug the camper trailer in and put the cigarette plug in to the socket on the battery pack.
Disclaimer
I have seen some swollen small at a battery
shop batteries that have had to quick a charge but I have not experienced this.

Hi
The 12v wall Charger for my my Super cheap battery pack died only last week.
I don't think the volts are an issue it is the amps?
I used my 4 amp battery charger, just connected the leads from the battery charger to the battery clamp leads on the battery pack .
No problem charged very quick at about 3/4 amps by the meter then
dropped back to a float charge.

Thanks for your answers.
I'll try the battery charger direct to the clamps, and see what happens.
Cheers
