We will be travelling from
Carnegie to
Well 5 via
Granite Peaks Station next month and wondered what is the best road for us to take.
We had planned to head for Glenayle Station and then head south to
Granite Peaks but on some maps there is another road that leaves from near Wongawol Station and heads north west to
Granite Peaks.
If anyone has any information or updates on these roads we would greatly appreciate it.
All the best
Viv

Hi Viv,
I haven't heard of the short-cut road you have mentioned.
However I have travelled the complete
Carnegie-Glenayle Road and
Wiluna-Glenayle Road two years ago and can confirm it is a very good track, some sections much better than the road to
Carnegie, Wongawol Road. Here's a picture, which shows the section of the road near the Glenayle turnoff.
