Hi all
been a while (dont think ive been on here since feb) but thought Id let ya know that since fixing what ever it was back in January (one of those flamin' sensors!) on the patrol ('01 3.0lt) that we have had no issues at all. We've even put new tyres on her too (cooper st's). Guess we're havin' more luck than Darkie and the grenade of a Paj ! ! ! !

If you get to lucky and forget the trauma's then I read today that in a new medical breakthough that strong coffee can reverse Alzemir's and return your memory Kiwi.

Robin,

She has more than memory loss, she does not know what an Injector service is on a 1HZJ Toyota motor.

As I recall she has had to do this work to possibly assist reliability of a known Grenade motor at a cost of over $1k. Yet she seems to think that an injector service on Darkie is equivalent to her Grenade stuff.
$462 for the injectors to be serviced etc (serviced to improve fuel economy and reduce soot in exhaust fumes) for a motor that is know for longetivity is a heap better than having to spend over $1k for something that may not stop the Grenade exploding.

Coffee is not going to help her hahahahahahahaha She has had 4 kids and I hear another on the way LOL

Cheers Kev

G day Laura

So the Grenade is going well.
Bloke at work has brought one ( same vintage as yours ) and it's got 220,000km on it.
I told him to take it in, and get the the boost checked, at an independant 4X4 garage. Not too sure what he has done yet.
Goo dto see that you have got soome satisfaction at last, and are getting trouble free motoring.

Cheers

As Molly Meldrum used to say.......... "DO YASELF A FAVOUR".......

For goodness sake, please fit a Boost Gauge, and EGT gauge, a Dawes Valve, and a Catch Can for the PCV valve as well as a block-off plate for the EGR valve.

These mods are often spoken about on the Patrol4x4.com.au forum and those who have fitted these devices never seem to have any issues with the 3 litre motor again.

Cheers
