3lt or 4.2 knf
I had and loved my 3.0lt espically after I fuel injected it.
After 9 years though paint began to flake off the inside of the roof gutters.
This is not immediatly obvious and indicated lots of body flexing

Got to admit, I loved my old '88 4.2 Diesel GQ (Mav, actually). Minimal plastic, tough as nails.
The only thing wrong with the old 3.0L GQ was the lighter gearbox, otherwise a very reliable engine, and a bargain price to boot.

I've still got my '92 3.0 petrol GQ.
It's now at 380000 and going strong (
well strong it isn't but it's going
well).
I have thought about changing but to what? No matter how I look at it, the GQ is great value and just won't die (hopefully). It's not my main vehicle now but gets plenty of work use and off road stuff and is great for shopping as no one will damage it in any noticeable way.
Hope you have as much fun with yours as I have had with
mine.
Cheers Cam
