Please don't barrage me with insults or opinions if you think its overdone, I'm sure some people would be interested in this article.
Thanks
Brian

Certainly an interesting & provocative article in todays Sun questioning the priorities & motives of both the local community & government.

Don't know anything about this Uluru place , but thanks for posting the link Brian as I didn't know the information about Ayers rock from that link as below.
"After all, when the Hawke government in 1985 handed it to the traditional Anangu owners, the deal was that for the next 99 years Ayers Rock would still be open to tourists, who would still be free to climb it. "

I my opinion the article is spot on, I was there 2 years ago and will be passing by next week doing the
Great Central Road trip
Laverton to
Alice Springs, I chose not to climb
the Rock, but as an 8th generation Australian, I feel that I should not have to ask anyone if I can climb large rocks in MY COUNTRY, how many generations born in Australia dose it take to become a true Australian? 50,100,200........when will all the Black/White rubbish end.
