I am having a problem with my cooling system, there is oil in my radiator, though the motor is not over heating, can anyone tell me what the problem might be? Is it definately the head gasket or could it be something else. Any help will be most appreciated.

Sounds like your diagnosis could be correct. Get a mechanic to do a pressure test on each of your cylinders. Any variation between them could point to the source of any leak. It could be gasket or cracked head.

Mal i'm with you. They dont have an auto tranny and no engine oil cooler to leak as suggested in some other posts.
They are (At this age) renowned for this problem, and yes a pressure test will narrow it down, possibly to head cracks or head gasket, or on very rare occasions a craked piston, often #6 "when" it happens.

Is it an auto ? may be the transmission cooler in the radiator is failing, check your transmission fluid, Rhys.

Jason.
If its engine oil it will be the oil cooler leaking , if its transmission fluid its the transmission coil in the radiator. Eric
