In response to the enquiry of Gone Bush ---

First up the Gold Jeep has 2 X 26aH Batteries in the back and a 30watt Solar Module on the roof -- to look after the fridge when not camped....

OK the Trailer -
Its a standard on-road POD trailer
Stockman Website for Pod Trailer

It has a 65 Litre water tank and spare wheel on drawbar and thats where the standard options end..

Inside is a Queen-sized bed - above the bed are twin LED reading lights powered from a battery box containing 3 X 7 aH ex-UPS batteries - This box has a night light - 3 blue leds so that us old folks can see the floor ...

The rear of the POD has twin cigarette lighter sockets attached directly to the 85aH Battery housed in an inverted battery box in the Jerrycan holder ..

Once the POD lid is closed the Solar Panel gantry pops over and is now strapped in place with 4 ratchet tie-downs .. The Solar Panel is a 140watt 7.8 Amp job - it is hinged at the front edge and is lockable at 45 degrees (ish) - Under neath the Panel when travelling are our Table chairs 20 litres of water and on the outer side a 10 or 20 litre Jerrycan of Diesel ..
Under the left side of the gantry is the control box for the solar charger - Ammeters for Input and Output - Cigarette sockets for adding other Solar and Output plugs Merit and Ciggy for fridge and other things ( mainly chargers for our cameras etc etc etc ...
Under the Bed is a 6 foot long kitchen box containing the essentials - cutlery cookery and cooker - I am currently looking for a Gas bottle and holder to fix up the front next to the spare wheel ...
Everything has been hand-made by me and totally my fault if it fails LOL ...

Its a great trailer and pretty much dust-free -

It takes about 10 minutes to put up with another 10-15 for the annex and walls - I carry a small CTEK charger in case of emergency and 1 150 watt Inverter also Just in case ..

The trailer weighs in at 300 Kgs and with all of our extras probably maxes out to 800 Kgs ..
Inside the Lid above the Tent is a 4" thick foam mattress and sleeping gear all sealed in a large plastic bag .. 2 X 6' X 4' rugs to go on the inner floor and to protect the tent edge when closing the lid - we have done some dammage to the walls where the gas strut collpases ... not anymore as the carpet protects the canvas when stowing ...
Poles and food are in the trailer next to the kitchen box with 2 small cases containing all our chargers , ext leads , spare batteries and electronic tools...
All the tent gear pegs , springs , sand pegs , carabiner hooks and guys are in another box ...
Clothing and cameras go in the Jeep with the fridge and that is how
the TARDIS operated !! LOL

Now I need that holiday ...

Yep,

Not quite big enough for a family with 2 kids though I think :(

There's a link in the first post - from memory about $2500 gets you a basic on-road POD
