Trying to source a ladder that mounts on the rear door spare wheel bracket to access roof rack. I've seen them on some vehicles but cannot locate one (or know the brand). The roof rack isn't on all the time so I'm after something quick and simple.
Any assistance appreciated.
Thanks
Gordon

hi gordan,
in my research, i've come across one from opposite lock which you can see in the .pdf catalogue on their site, called a WHEEL-MOUNT RACK STEP, which seems to strap around the circumfrence of the tyre and is removable. seems like a clever idea if ever i've seen one.
mitch.

There is also one which just clips over the top of the rear tyre and allows you to access the roof rack.
Personally I wouldnt be climbing on any rear mounted spare
wheels on anything.
The mounts arent built for that.

Graham,
I used to have that thought but I have been climbing onto my spare for at least 4 years now to access the roofrack and I have never had a problem
just my 2 cents

Hi
Gordon,
Rhino Rack make a ladder that will clip onto their roofracks. It folds up when not in use for easy storage.
Used
mine on the Troopy and found that it will fit on the gutter rails too and allow all round access to roofrack. May be worth a look at.
Cheers
Michael
