Hi Folks
I have just bought my 1st diesel surf,1994 3.0ltr turbod and love it.Mileage guaranted.79275 k's My question is where should the oil pressure guage needle sit on idle and crusinin at 100k's in overdrive.Never had a oil guage before so don't no whats good or bad readings. Currently at idle the needle registers just below 1st mark and at 100k's a hair below half way mark. Thanks again for any info on this.

Most factory oil guages are just cosmetic in that they dont show actual pressure. Who knows the point of your needle could be 10psi or 80psi you wouldn't know. the only way to go if you dont want to put a second aftermarket guage in is to get the pressure checked by a mechanic using a guage with pounds per square inch.
Check that with the specs and you will know what the story is. If he checks it at idle and again with the engine revved to the same revs as you would do at 100kph the specs should indicate an idle pressure and a running pressure. Hope this was helpful to you.
