Hi all, how are yas? Aint been on here in a while, been too busy travelling. Been from
Broome down to
Perth, across the Nullabor,
Adelaide, Great Ocean Road,
Melbourne, Tassie, Victoria, and am currently in
Tweed Heads for a few days relaxing. Have alot of catching up on whats been happening on here, i see a few changes to the layout, looks good. Anyways, this morning i discovered a little bit of oil leaking onto the exhaust manifold guard leaking from the Intercooler to turbo pipe. It is leaking from the flange where where it joins to the intercooler, i gave it a wipe and drove a further 300kms and havent sighted any more then just a slight weep. Problem is it the flange is missing one of its 4 bolts, thanks to
Broome Toyota who played with it before i left. My questions are though,
Should there be oil leaking from here? Is oil supposed to be in there?
Is there are a gasket in there that i can just replace along with a replacement bolt?
Wasnt alot of oil leaking but enough to cause concern, especially as i still have another 3500 odd k's to get home. Oil level hasnt dropped or anything, but was just wondering if anyone has had the same thing happen or can explain to me the reason for oil being in there?
Almost forgot, vehicle is a 2004 Manual Prado GXL with the 1KZ motor. Thanks
Thanks heaps

Juat in recent weeks I have noticed a dust/oil collecting on the other pipe..i.e. the one after the intercooler....I too am wondering if oil is supposed to be in there....
It is as though it is weaping a very minute amount out, but....that would indicate that there is a fair bit of oil on the inside for a small amount to come out i would have thought...
Anyway, I'd be interested to see if anyone else has come across this.

The oil is common and doesn't matter. It comes down the engine breather hose. I'd replace the bolt thats missing though!
