Hi to all

We have two gas bottles on our caravan and when we were in Atherton last year, the local camping store refilled them by weight at a great saving to us.

We are now in Darwin and wondering whether anyone knows of somewhere here that will do the same. I have done google searches and come up with nothing.

Hope someone can help-thanks

Julie

Local harware shops are a pretty sure thing, the big chain harware stores like Bunnings do the swappa bottles more often but every local hardware seems to weigh and fill.

Try BBQ Galore / BCF or RANms
BBQ Galore & BCF Are on the jape complex on bagot road
RANms are out on pruen road in Berrimah

Or LPG Solutions in Winnellie

The advantage of 2 gas bottles is you can completely empty one, hook up the other and just wait until somewhere convenient to fill the empty, providing of course you are not going to be away from a refiller for more than a few weeks or longer (depending on your usage.)

Can I give a different aspect to the illegal or or not filling of gas...containers..

Most people are keen to call gas cylinders..."bottles"..

A bottle usually has a lid or cap as the fill and decant point....and the contents are stored at ambient/atmospheric pressure.

A cylinder usually has a valve or valve assembly as the fill and decant point and the contents are stored at a pressure above atmospheric pressure to enable safe storage and/or transport of the product.

Cheers.
