Hi All I have a 1993 TD42.I needed to replace the thermostat so I removed the the cover and broke off one of the siezed bolts.Found an thermo from 1992 in there!Boy this Patrol is original ! Any way I need to remove the lower thermo housing so I can get it drilled and retapped. And yes I tried every dam possible thing to remove the bolt.So I have removed all the housing bolts and I can get it to move but I cant get it off , It just wants to rock , I can see between the head and the housing and I cant see anything holding it on.Any body got any idea's.There must be a trick to it.The Manual said "remove thermostat housing", bloody useless waste of a tree.Help as this is turning into a major head ache.

Fairly recently (within the last couple of weeks or so), someone on the
Patrol Forum
posted up an exploded view diagram of the very parts that are troubling you...
You may wish to drop by and ask over there.. (or a search may find what you're looking for??)

Probably use an EZY OUT if you have the mechanical skills.... If not, you can remove the lower housing, take it to your local mechanic. He will remove and recoil it if he damages the thread. Michael
