Hi all I own a 100 ser 98 diesel GXL L/C ,I seem to have a problem with the central locking as when I press the remote the doors no longer lock yet when I manually lock all 4 doors and press the remote the doors unlock as they should ,I have been told by an auto elec that the 2 Relays located inside a white enclosure where the fuses are on the pass side kick panel are dead and need replacing yet after taking the kick panel cover off then the glove box out and having a look it seems this white enclosure with 2x 10 mm nuts top and bottom seems hard to remove so my question is has anyone ever taken this white enclosure out before ?
If your answer is yes HELPPPPP!! as any advice would be great as I'm at my wits end and I don't know what else I can do ,I look forward to your response and thanks for taking the time to read this post even if you cant help me LOL!
Cheers.

Hi Oldpop.
Yes I have and it still does it its not the remote as it works the relay power for unlocking but not the relay power for un locking I have had a auto sparky confirm that the relays are stuffed ,I just cant get to them without it being an ordeal and I was hoping some one has done this before I also went to Toyota and a bloke came out and said yeah just take this off and remove that and all is good but this is not the case ,but thank you for your thoughts oldpop.
Cheers.

are you sure that there are only 2 nuts holding it on?
there may be a release clip on the top of the fuse box, just lift the clip and pull
most times the fuse boxes will fall out when loosened off.
the other thing that may be holding it in is the wiring harness, you may have to release the harness from some of its constraints.

Hi Stuart.
No Im sure there is 2 nuts and the top nut is a bugger to get to but its the heater box that seems to not allow the main enclosure to come off the kick panel
but hey I wish it was a clip LOL!
