Hi All. Just arrived in Laura. Thought I would have some lunch. Met Wolfe. He is the Old Timer from Cooktown. A mate of the Hotel Owner. Had lunch and a beer. Another Beer, another beer. an???? b???ear looks like I will be staying the night. Bugger Wolfe. Barra for dinner. another beer. a fella walks into the bar. He was telling us about his two mates that had there vehicle totals at Gunshot. He was driving them back to Weipa and came across a woman that had lost control of her vehicle after her husband suffered a heart attack. He was a bit up set, just one week into a four week trip to the Cape. It turned out that his father had just died of Cancer and he was going to fly home for the funeral. Just goes to show. You never Know. Myself, heading to Coen in the morning. Pic's coming soon.

your trip to Cape york will be fantastic. My husband and I did the trek this time last year in our Nissan patrol with roof top tent. A must stay is Bramwell station, great camping.
We are just about to leave on our trip to the big Rock in the centre and Ive
just been on the phone about wiresless broadband to take while were away.
The phone service up that way is pretty good and Id like to know what kind of broadband u you are using eg data pk or pre paid . would be helpful for our trip. Thanks

Hi Richard. I am in Weipa at the moment. Will be tomorrow morning, Hope to get to the Jardine Ferry. Where would be the best place to stay at the top. Meaning plenty of room. Yes it would be nice to meet up with someone from EO.Cheers Steve

Steve,

We are Loyalty Beach and find it pretty good. Great meal at the resteraunt.

Stayed at Seisa camepground in 06. The supply ship comes in Sunday night there and it can be a bit noisy as they work all night. The ship is out of action at the moment with a broken engine bearing.

Dropped into Punsand Bay and it looks OK but a bit dusty in the camp ground. It's the only one with a pool although its only an above ground one.
