Hi Everyone,
Looking at heading off for about 5 weeks or so next year and planning on driving through the outback of Queensland and ending up in the NT and maybe coming back down the coast. We are going with about 4 other families all with children aging from about 3 to 8 and was wondering if anyone could recommend anything to do or anywhere to stay?? Any ideas much appreciated thanks : ) Katrina

Hi Katrina,
you will get a million different answers for such an open ended question. Better if you state the type of vehicles to be used, and some desired beginning and ending point would help. There is a lot to see and do; just depends on where you want to go. More details would give you a more specif answer.

I agree with Fred, how long is a piece of string?? There is so much to see and it is so beautiful.
Let us know some more detail and there will be plenty to provide info.
I guarentee this - you all will love it, there is something for everyone. 5 weeks may not be long enough though!!!!
Happy for you to email and I can send some photos of some magic
places, otherwise there is plenty of info on Exploroz under
places, trips, etc.

We all have either a patrol or hilux. Leaving from
Brisbane and heading along the
Mitchell Highway and ending up in the NT. I've heard that
Winton is a nice place?? Happy for any ideas or recommendations at all of anything and everything. Would just like to see some nice
places in the outback. Thanks once again.
