We are spending the Friday to Monday on KI and hope to catch some fish. We don't have a boat and will be staying on the southern side of the island. Can anyone advise what can be caught on the south coast?

Had a very very memorable session on Salmon at
Hanson Bay a few years back (about 1km from car
park). Same at that beach on south side where island narrows. If youre down the west end we've also had some good catches and nice family days at North West River Cove (incl. Snook off rocks on RHS as you approach
the beach). Caught bream in river leading to
Hanson Bay. Damn, what a great place, we have to go back.....
