We are heading to Wombat
state forest for the first time this Sunday. We will go there from Gisborne heading west into Lerderderg State
park.
Any good recommendation of med/difficult tracks around there?
Anyone want to tag along? or be our guide?
Cheers
Kev

Hi Kev.
I was at Wombat
state forest last week only for a short time, took a detour ;-)
It was wet and slippery on some track lots of fun, I was on my own but have a winch and didn’t need it.
You will find that most medium and difficult tracks are closed this time of the year Get a map and have a look.
Nevertheless it is a nice drive around there, the rivers only look like creeks but they are flowing, just.
You could try the power line track it’s just past
Blackwood on the left only a short distance out.
Paradise track if it was open is always a heart stopper I have only ever seen it graded once.(dont blame me if its open and you try it and have to walk home ;-))
Most are just gravel roads take care and have fun.
