Mine have been sitting under the staircase at home and I am thinking, maybe I can free up some cash (for other 4wd goodies without making the Mrs throw a spare) and some space by selling them. Are people really getting $300-450 for them? Anyone tried to sell theirs? How did you go, get rid of them easily? I thought there would have been so many on the market they would be hard to sell....???Cheers,
Wazza

Good question Wazza, It seems to me that advertising something and actually selling are 2 different matters! Surely if you want seats you buy a vehicle with them so who'd buy the ones that people don't want? I think even the base models of some or maybe all 4wds now have them so where's the market?

People are dreaming. They are worth nothing as there are 1000's of them in sheds everywhere..

The way I see it is....
People who need lots of seats rarely by 4wds but buy people movers...

Those that do need them and buy a 4wd would only buy a 4wd WITH the seats and belts in the car.

YMMV

Don't take any notice of the above, he drives a Nissan.

I have advertised a set of Troopy rear seats and the first person bought them for the top price. I also sold a set or rear seats for a 60 series sahara and sold them within a few days of the paper coming out. They are worth money as the cost of getting an aftermarket rear seat or dickie seat is very expensive. Over $1000 in most cases. Put em in, sell them and turn your garage crap into cash. Look at it as recycling. There is always someone wanting something a bit cheaper than new.

Yes he's the bloke with the blown motor so he probably doesn't need any seats.

I have 2 sets due to one car being written off, so I tried to sell 1 set in Ebay/Trading Post/Local Rag and on the Trader at this site.

Not 1 bite at them and they are only priced at $350 the pair, so I tend to think that they are worthless.

Anybody want a set for the cost of the freight ?

80 series GXL 3rd row seats, grey with cloth inserts, all bolts brackets, in good condition. Located in Port Macquarie, approx weight is 20Kg each, so will be expensive to freight any distance. I just want to get rid of them and am happy to see someone give them a good home. It would be nice if they wanted to offer me a token payment though.

I have a set of these also and I too think they are worth zero on the market (mine are in a box in the shed in the unlikley event that I ever remove all the fitout in the vehicle and revert it to some form of standard (not likely but one never knows). If someone gives me $1000 no make that $500 no make that $250) for them then I am sure I can find heaps of sets around the place. Place your orders here!Regards
