It has probably been done to death but some of us have been away for a couple of months ... had a great time... looking to replace the van does the scrapped sales tax in NSW extent to used vans. Thanks in anticipation

Sales Tax is only ever applied to new goods.

Stamp Duty has been removed from caravans & trailers, that is the tax you pay to first register them or if you transfer from another owner. NSW was the last State to do this I believe...sounds about normal :)))....oldbaz.

Yes, stamp duty will be abolished from 1 July 2001 (following the introduction of a GST on 1 July 2000) - too bad we're still paying it on purchase of houses and cars.
