Eyre Creek

No.1 and favourite son is leaving next weekend for Birdsville and then to cross the Simpson.
Can anyone please advise if the Eyre Creek is open or if he needs to take the detour track.

I was out there just 2 weeks ago and the by-pass was still the only option. However the country on the by-pass is unique and spectacular and well worth seeing.

Travelled through there last week after coming through the Simpson and the detour was still needed.
Rough as guts on the western side but pretty good on the eastern side although there was one good washout to catch you unawares.
Water was still flowing but it was only about hub depth.
