Hi all, wondering if someone could point me in the right direction with regard to connecting my heat exchanger unit for my shower. I have a 2006 V6 hilux, just want to know which heater hose to tee into. Has anyone fitted a shower system to this modle hilux before. Your help would be awesome.
Thanks

Hi Kato Kid.
I cannot help you directly other than to suggest you go back to where you purchased it and they may be able to help. What about your local mechanic. That may be one avenue. I do not know the Hilux otherwise I would love to help. If you are in a 4WD club maybe one of the members may help.
Where are you?
Phil

you dont actually "T" into any hose. The heat exchanger is fitted INLINE in the heater hose and normally the cold
water (external source) is arranged so that the cold flow (what you are using for the shower) is being pumped in the reverse direction to that of the coolant that is flowing through the vehicles hot
water system.
easiest way to tell where to connect the exchanger INLINE (if you are unable to follow the
water path by looking etc) is to start the engine cold and then have someone open the heater valve so as to commence coolant flow into the cab heater..you should be able to feel the external temperature of the hoses change..the first one hot is flowing into the vehicles heater...put the heat exchanger INLINE to that hose and then connect your cold
water flow in the opposite direction
cheers
