For the last week the 130 has been leaking fuel at the lift pump something chronic!, been down on power a bit but kept plugging along. Fitted a new pump to-day and had to remove the four injector lines from the main pump to get it out, so obvisouly the fuel drained out of all those , the thing is though on re assembly and firing it up again all i did was undo the bleed screw on top of the filter head, wound the motor over twice and fuel dribbled out, so i shut it off, and one more wind and away she went! Never ever have i had a diesel motor that would dissapate air as fast as that!, Good old 300Tdi" s.
Cheers Axle
PS, Footy would have said,"
Well there has to be one good thing about them"....LOL.
Cheers Axle.

Probably leaking oil and fuel at such a rate that it self primed itself! LOL

Far be it for a long time Toyota owner like me to put praise on a Landrover but their new range of vehicles & the different options available like heavy duty factory fitted springs with a payload up to 1.8 tonne are again leading the way. Add to that a 3.5 tonne max towing limit & still able to pull under 10 litres per 100 empty it's an excellent touring machine.
Landrover Range

Trouble is mate if the landrover product is to be a sales success in this country, then the whole marketing and dealership issue is going to have to change, UMM! is that now left to TATA??.

Yes the concept is pretty right, just need to improve the backup & ergonomics. Closing dealerships was a strange way to get more customers. It's a pity that Toyota don't release twin cabs with a similar capacity.

Nothing wrong with the ergonomics as far as I'm concerned, but the out of town back up is non existent.
When or should that be "if" that ever improves, I'll be back into a Landie (probably D3) as quick as because they're great off road and very comfortable.
Alan.
