Hi all just wondering if it's worth fitting a set of extractors on the tb42 is there any power gain (or loss so i've heard) or if some one could tell me what type of exhaust to get.
Cheers

There is no real gain, just sounds different, save your $ for a turbo.

speaking of turbo's i was told that puting too much boost on a turbo will melt the 5th piston something with the nissan's cooling system???

Nissans Cooling system once a turbo is on, has to be spot on.

A small gain in low end torque is apparant with extractors and a free flow, or straight through muffler. But unless you have to replace the exhaust anyway, the cost effectiveness is marginal. A small resonator is necessary, aft of the axle, to kill the droning sound that you will get with the straight-through system.
